
Harvey started his career as a comic. Harvey began his professional career as a comic in the late 1980s. He was host of Showtime at the Apollo, and The Steve Harvey Show in The WB. Following his appearance in Kings of Comedy Tour's Original Kings of Comedy, he performed in The Original Kings of Comedy. In 2012, he hosted his last stand-up comedy show. Harvey hosts Family Feud as well Celebrity Family Feud. Harvey has had this role since the year 2010. Harvey was also the host of Little Big Shots, Little Big Shots Forever Young and Steve Harvey's Funderdome. In his capacity as an author, Harvey has written four books, including his bestseller Act Like a Lady, Consider Like a Man, which was released in March of 2009. Steve Harvey Global was Harvey's entertainment company. It is home to East 112 productions in addition to different ventures. Harvey started Family Feud in Africa and invested with Anthem Sports and Entertainment in the HDNet acquisition. The couple and their wife Marjorie founded The Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation an organization for non-profits that is focused in the field of education for children. Harvey has received seven Daytime Emmy Awards and two Marconi Award winners, and 14 NAACP Image Award Winners in different categories.
