Dina Meyer was raised and born at Forest Hills Queens New York. Before she finished her junior year, she relocated to Queens to Dix Hills Long Island. She has two younger siblings as well as an elder brother. The modeling profession was her first experience within the business. It was her first job between the ages of nine and sixteen. Her acting education began in The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York, where she studied Sanford Meisner's acting techniques together with Ron Stetson, for about three years. Sandra Bullock received similar training as did Michael Douglas and Jeff Goldblum. Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton are also amongst the actors that have undergone similar training. When she moved into Los Angeles, she got her first role in Beverly Hills, 90210. Soon after, she scored the role of the main character in the film Johnny Mnemonic, in which she was able to do all her stunts herself, and established herself as an athlete. The talent agent she worked with also represented Matt LeBlanc so, through her agent she was able get a regular role on Friends.
